Well I have decided were I want to live, its a house with loads of land, stables and an arena/menage. I love horses and am riding and am helping people out with there horses so im desperate for my own. I know what breeds I want to get: a welsh cob and appaloosa. I am thinking about what job I will have. These are what im thinking about: a farrier, a vet, a groom in a racing stables or a writer. I know what pets I want to get: a tabby cat, 2 english springer spaniels(I have one now and a tabby cat now), 2 rabbits( I have 2 now) and a parrot. Also the horses, 1 welsh cob, one appaloosa. I love going in furniture and decor shops looking at what kind of things I would like in my house.I prefer old fashion stuff. Is this normal? Im the only person I know who does this!
Not sure of the catergory to use...
Open Question: I gave my cats a bath with flea shampoo for dogs, think they’ll be OK?

I'm at war with fleas! My formerly indoor-only cats have been allowed out this summer, and they brought in fleas! Now, normally, all I have to do is Frontline eveybody (two cats, two dogs) and treat my house with that home spray stuff that kills the eggs and we're good. But *this* time Frontline isn't doing a bit of good. I can't afford to purchase a new round of Advantage for everyone (this also means I can't afford a vet, please no "Get to a vet, ASAP!" answers.)
So I gave the dogs and cats each a frontline dose and treated the house. The fleas subsided for a while but re-surged. I blame the cats since the dogs are a boxer and a pit. They are both wire haired with no undercoat, so getting fleas off them is really easy.
About two weeks after the first I re-dosed the cats and sprayed the house again. Still fleas. So then I bug bombed the house. Still fleas! Fewer, it seems, but they're still here! So today I went out and bought flea shampoo and the home treatment spray again (Hartz, both) and bathed everyone and treated my furniture and carpets AGAIN.
Well, I didn't check the shampoo closely, I just grabbed and tossed in my cart. Too late, I realized it says for dogs only. Since it's a fait accompli at this point, I just want opinions.
Think they'll be OK? What should I look for?
It's Saturday and the emergency clinic charges hundreds (not kidding) for a walk-in, so that's out for me, not that I can afford a vet anyway. But I'm watching them and naturally they're pissed at me, but they're also licking themselves clean and I'm worried about them ingesting it? I made sure to do it quickly (whereas for dogs you have to wait 5 min before rinsing) and rinsed them really really well.
It is Hartz Ultra Guard Plus Flea & Tick Dog Shampoo with Aloe
Open Question: How to convince my parents to let me get a kitten?

First let me tell you my story. For years i have been asking for a puppy. I finally got one for my birthday this year. (From the humane society.) I loved him so much but turns out he was dying from kidney failure. We had to put him down. My parents have promised me another puppy. But the thing is i don't know if another puppy would be a good idea. I have an older dog. He's eleven. He loved Colby but Colby was a bit hyper for him. Colby had half the energy of a normal puppy and that was a bit much for Buddy. Now i would have to wait a year from now until next summer to get my next puppy. But Buddy would be a year older and the puppy would have twice the energy. I don't think he could handle it. I also don't think i could wait that long. I'm so depressed right now after loosing Colby. I have always loved cats. I think a cat would be better for my family. We could get it during the school year and you don't have to deal with all the training. The thing is my parents really don't like cats. They say that they ruin all your furniture and get into everything (walking on the counters and more habits they find disgusting.) How can i convince them that a cat would be better for everyone in the family?
Open Question: Want to keep the door open for air, but he gets out?

I live with five other people and I have a cat. He has a bad habit of peeing on plastic bags and clawing up furniture. Because we are not even allowed to have cats on the premises, he is restricted to my room. I take him on walks every day with a leash outside, but because I have to keep my door closed, the room gets hot, even with a big fan and the window open. It gets really nice when I can open my door and get a cross-breeze but then he gets out and I have to monitor him. What are some suggestions of things to put in my doorway that he can't get out of but will still let the breeze through? I can't just put a screen door on it-it's a bedroom, and it's a rental.
Thanks in advance.
Open Question: Possibly haunted house? I’m only 14- what do I do!?

Ever since we moved here 3 years ago, I've been very skeptical. My parents bought it from a widower. He was rather elderly, so I'm assuming his wife died of old age. I was never told which room, but I know one of the downstairs ones was hers. I have one of the only two downstairs bedrooms. :/
And when we moved here, I didn't really believe in paranormal stuff.. but after about a month in that room, with strange occurences (TV off/on, lights, coldness etc.) I moved upstairs to share a room with my brother. So I shared the room with him for a good 2 years, until a few months ago my parents made furniture for me and put it in my old room. I took the hint and started sleeping there again. But strange things still happen, albeit more rarely.
My cat sleeps with me every night - he loves that room, I think. Sometimes, though, I'll wake up to find him staring at something I can't see, ears flattened and tail bottlebrushed. Moonlight (the cat) also has, as long as we've lived here, had 'episodes' - he'll jump at NOTHING, tail bottlebrushing out, and start RUNNING through the house like he's being chased. They're so bad that he's at times RAN INTO WALLS trying to escape...
I've tried telling my parents about this, but they never have believed me. I'm only 14. They scoff at me and tell me ghosts don't exist. I'm not sure myself if they do, but if they do, could they be in my home? I was thinking of emailing "TAPS" (a team my cousin LOVES to watch shows of) to help me, but I don't know the email.
