I have a cat that's almost a year old (so I guess really a kitten still). He is constantly jumping up on the table, counters and other places where he doesn't belong. He know he doesn't belong there either because as soon as some walks into the room he jumps down. I'm going to have a baby in a couple of months and I recently found him in the crib. He also scratches the furniture. I don't know what to do with him. I've tried using double sided sticky tape on areas I don't want him, I've tried spraying him with water when he does something bad. If he doesn't learn to behave I may have to get rid of him because I don't want to worry if he will suffocate the baby or not by jumping in the crib or bassinet. I love my cat, and he is a member of the family, what can I do? He also eats and drinks out of dishes and cups if we aren't watching him.
